suggest that the Colony be requested to effect the periodical payments which are effected quarterly in

at the Treasury rate of Exchange,

this particular case

so as to secure that only the precise amount of the contri-

bution fixed for the year, and no more, is brought to

the credit of the British Exechequer

It will, in future, be more convenient

if each quarters payment is brought to credit before the actual expiration of the quarter, instead of being post-

poned till the ensuing month as is now the case.
